It was invented in the 15th century. iThe first book printed was the Bible. Not a whole changed from then to the 1920’s. just different forms of type etc. The used blocks. If you wanted a picture or a cartoon etc instead of type you created a block with the reversed image. Most of these were engravings. check block printing, and engravings. you’ll get a better picture. Where can I find cheap copies in Manhattan or queens, need only 40 color copies. Its one page and the file is in excel. I’d say your best bet really is Kinkos or Staples. Other places will charge you big bucks. I live in NYC and I’m a graphic design student so I’m always looking for the lowest prices. Other print places seem to always add in labor charges and what not. Good thing about Kinkos/Staples you can just do it yourself. Print out a master copy then take it to the color copier set it to 40 and voila you’re done. I want to get some flyers printed for a project I’m working on promoting but on Staples website it mentions them designing them. I know if I take the flyer there that they will just print copies if I ask, but what do they mean by their design service. Do I have to pick the design, they make it, and print copies? And how much would it cost? And how does it cost to have copies printed anyways? Staples design services is if you don’t already have an existing flyer or if you have changes that you need to make on the flyer. You could hand draw out an idea of what you want the flyer to look like and Design Services will design it from scratch for you but here is a charge for that. If you need it designed then they typically send it out and the design comes back to them in about 24 hours and they can print it. If you already created a flyer and they just have to print it out or copy it then you won’t need the design service. As far as price it depends on how many copies, if it is black and white, what kind of paper, single sided or double sided and if you need them folded. Your Best bet is to call them over the phone to get a quote. You could also submit it online as well and get pricing that way. I’m starting a mazaine in a couple of months and am wondering what equipment I would need to do this. I am printing a set of cards, and they have a design on the front and back. I need to know how to set it up ao that I do not go over the edge on either side. I am using adobe illustrator, but I can print them in jpeg or pdf format if needs be, they are not so big that they would lose quality, but obviously I would rather keep the illustrator files! Your best bet would be to place them in a layout program such as InDesign. However, you need to provide more information, such as the actual dimensions, how you are going to print them, and so on. If you are printing from a home printer, you will want to run a test print to see how your printer handles double-sided printing. If you are having these printed through a professional print shop (I’m not talking about Kinkos, or an office supply store, but rather a place that just does printing, maybe uses both digital and offset printing) you could talk to them to find out how to do the best layout. Do you have a background design that needs to go to the edge? Then you will need to setup a bleed. That’s just one of the many things to consider. As for file types, your best bet is a PDF file. When I print at home or take the file to Kinkos or Staples, I save the file as a “High Quality Print” setting and turn off the retain Illustrator editing (which means the file can be opened in Illustrator, but not edited). How do I print to a Konica 7145 copier with network printing?

Hi, we recently got a Konica 7145 copier that has network printing capabilities and supports IPP. We have a small P2P network. I have tried repeatedly to get it to print over the network without success. I can ping the copier’s IP just fine. I am able to access the web utility so I know that I can connect to the copier via TCP/IP. IPP is enabled. Any ideas are appreciated! Richard, I downloaded both PCL and PostScript drivers from the Konica/Minolta website. I have tried both drivers on mulitple workstations. I have tried printing using both LPR and sending raw data via TCP ports 9100, 5500, and 10001. I have tried printing to the spooler and directly. Everything has failed so far. UPDATE: I just added a second network printer to the network and had no problems setting it up. The other printer is a Brother MFC-8460N. The Konica still does nothing.
